Looking for Writer-Editor Volunteers
Five to ten people are needed to fill this position for this 1st international film festival dedicated to addressing Human Rights, Children's Advocacy, Environmental Preservation and Animal Rights. This agency’s mission is to strengthen the voice of international activist artists – “Artivists” – while raising public awareness and funds for social global causes. The organization is seeking experienced, resourceful, and creative Writer-Editors on a part-time basis. You do not have to be local. We are seeking to collaborate with a close knit team of writers on interviewing filmmakers, artists, celebrities, community leaders, and preparing all of the content for the upcoming ARTIVIST.com. Interested volunteers’ responsibilities will be as follows:

1. Preparing content, (research, creative brainstorming, editing)

2. Writing articles and conducting interviewing.

Potential volunteers must have the following qualifications:

1. Experience in producing and preparing content for magazines, web portals, or E-zines.

2. Excellent communication and writing skills.

3. Experience in writing quality articles and delivering a project on-time.

4. Good at research and creative problem solving.

5. We are looking for individuals that are independent thinkers, creative, diplomatic, flexible, open to new ideas, work well independently and on a team, and play nice with others.

6. Have a positive attitude and enjoy an exciting, rewarding opportunity!

The ideal candidates will also be able to contribute approximately 10 hours a week and meet or conference call with the President and Editorial Department weekly. Initially this is a volunteer or intern position with the possibility of leading to employment after the launch of the Artivist Network, scheduled for the Summer of 2008. You receive TITLE & CREDIT. Join as an intern or volunteer. Through education, community service, advocacy, and research we help those who suffer from lung disease and promote lung health for everyone. Body Worlds 3 Special Exhibits
A Los Angeles-based Science Center is pleased to present BODY WORLDS 3 & The story of the Heart. This special exhibit features over 200 authentic human specimens including whole body plastinates not seen before, organs, translucent body slices, and for the first time-a special presentation of the heart. This exhibit will be open from March 14, 2008 through September 7, 2008. Volunteer to make this exhibit is a blast! Volunteers must have excellent customer service skills, an outgoing personality, be in a good health and at least 16 years old. Volunteers must commit to volunteering for a minimal of 3 months. Ideally, volunteers would be able to commit to working one 4-hour shifts per week. Volunteer shifts are available in the morning, afternoon and evening, Monday through Sunday.
